Reflection
I was able to reach these standards by
writing in different architectural letterings. I actually really enjoyed this
unit, because it was simple, a nice break from drawing. It was actually kind of
therapeutic, and I found myself writing my notes and even my name in
architectural writing sometimes. In fact, my normal handwriting has gotten a
little neater since this unit. I very much enjoyed learning how to do
architectural lettering.
How could architectural lettering not have real-world applications? All architects need to be able to write in this font. This is because not everyone has the best handwriting. If someone reads something wrong a blueprint, people could get sued for someone else’s problems. This is why we use a universal font.
I would like to expand my knowledge in this unit by learning how to write numbers as well. I will always strive to write better and hopefully make my handwriting just like the professionals.
